Tayloring & bending LOPPs

By proper spiro-substitution and in-plane bending of ladder oligo(para-phenylene)s (LOPPs) Björn has created organic emitters, which are perfectly resonant to ZnO quantum well and give rise to efficient hybrid devices. The comprehensive study of solid state structure and optical properties as well as thin film growth has been carried out in close collaboration within the CRC 951 and will be published in an upcoming issue of Advanced Functional Materials.
