Switching with near infrared light
Exploiting push-pull dihydropyrenes we have realized the first molecular photoswitches, which can be operated by NIR light with wavelengths beyond 800 nm. The work will appear in forthcoming issue of Angewandte Chemie – congratulations Tine and Yves!
