Sunlight-driven actuators
Teaming up with the group of Albert Schenning at TU Eindhoven, we have incorporated our fluorinated azobenzenes into liquid crystalline elastomers to realize chaotically oscillating actuators driven by ambient sunlight. The work has just appeared in Nature Communications.
