Making insoluble sexiphenyl bricks
Yves' work on synthesizing non-symmetrical sexiphenyl derivatives, which are hardly soluble at all, will be communicated in Organic Letters. The prepared "sexi bricks" should be useful for controlling self-assembly in organic-inorganic hybrid systems.
