Deciphering the role of triplets

Sebastian - together with Michel Sliwa (Univ. Lille) - successfully uncovered the mechanism of his triplet-sensitized diarylethene photoswitches, which show enhanced fatigue and can be ring-closed in the visible (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2016).
